Alright, I decided on my way to work today that I would start a 1 month cut, during which I will maintain my activity level.
That means no more ice cream, no more than 2 pieces dark chocolate a day, no late snacks past 9pm (only casein protein), and lots of water. I want to cut as much remaining fat as possible before the competition in August.
When my cut is over, I will stop the body building phase of my weight lifting, go to a 2 day split weight lifting upper-lower body to maintain muscle, start bulking up to ensure my muscles are full of the necessary nutrients (fully rebuilt with protein, creatine, glycogen).
My focus on training until the event is BODY FUNCTIONALITY, especially monkey bars, pullups, dips, and running uphill. I have very good explosiveness at the moment (especially when sprinting)so I am now focusing on cardio endurance (45 mins - 2 h). I will also have to tailor my training to the obstacle course, calculating the distance between each obstacle to know how far I will have to run before getting a "break".
My goal is to cut 5 pounds of fat before competition time.
