I just had a bizarre breakfast--oatmeal with craisins and (get this) cottage cheese. It was not bad! I think it should keep me full for a while. I'm going to try to have a very late lunch because I'm rock climbing with my girls tonight. Yay!
I climbed a lot tonight, and ended up having dinner #2. But I figure 2.5 hours of climbing, I probably burned at least 700, probably more like 1,000 calories. My level of exercise makes eating hard--today I walked 5 miles and climbed 6-7 routes. How many cals should I be eating to lose slowly if I'm burning 300-1000 cals/day on exercise?

That is great gingercrack. Remember to keep your metabolism stimulated by having a snack in between breakfast and lunch. If you can incorporate something with a protein...even better.
Rock climbing is fun and you will get a lot out of it...it is more of a work out than some realize :)

not so bizarre, I put cottage in my oatmeal too! It melts and makes it creamy, I like it! Craisins are yummy too! You are making me hungry! :D have fun rock climbing!

It sounds like you'd need to eat at least 2000 calories/day to lose gradually. Here's a site I found that may help: http://calorieneedscalculator.com/
