To record my history: At largest, fatest, I weighed 317 lbs. That was well over 25 years ago. I knew everything in my life was going end when I died - and no one would care. Then I lost about 75 lbs and roughly the same time I met my husband, moved to England and began a new life. I never lost below 250 and I have been yo-yo dieting for most of the 18 years we've been together.
About 5 years ago I had a bout of cardio-pulmonary hypertension. It led to Pulmonary-Thoracic Endarterectomy in December 2015 from which I have had a long difficult recovery including a brain haematoma in 2014 and the amputation of a diabetic toe in 2016.
To say I am thrilled to weigh less than 250 is putting it lightly, but my current weight today is 245, and I am more dedicated than ever at getting on with it. Let's do this! There's no turning back! I haven't been so hopeful in years and years.
