Foggy, cloudy, cooler day. Walking will have to wait as I'm waiting on an HVAC contractor for our semi-annual check-up and a minor repair. I knew this would interfere with walking, but they only do these appointments in the AM.

I rechecked the 100-mile challenge and saw that, although it says it starts today, it doesn't start until late, late tonight, even though the start date is today's date. Not sure what that's all about. But, this may turn out to be a blessing, because the end date is actually 11/1 (late in the day), not 10/31, so I can just either add a day to my plan, making the mileage/day a bit less (YAY!) or I could not walk today, but plan on walking on 11/1 before the challenge closes.....haven't decided which I'll do. Exactly how long this contractor appointment lasts may have some bearing on my decision - LOL!

EDIT: Well, the contractor has come and gone but it took up the entire morning. At least I got some kitchen chores done while he was working....cooked up some bacon and got steaks and pork chops into marinade for grilling, probably on Saturday. I also got a package ready for shipping to my mom. I have errands to run, a bedroom to mask for additional painting, AND my belated exercise to fit in somewhere.

It's now sunny and a bit warmer than recently for walking, but I'm thinking I just need to get out there and do it. I'm actually kind of tired because of staying up too late with the debate and analysis last night and then getting up earlier to get things ready for the contractor. When I'm tired is when I'm likely to overeat and/or eat those trigger foods. I need to be careful today. Good news is that I don't have much in the trigger food department in the house right now.

SECOND EDIT: OK....I DID get out walking and I'm counting it for the challenge...4.3 miles @ a pace of slightly under 3.7 mph....not too shabby at all. HOWEVER...BOY, am I beat! Of course, it was 88 degrees out, but I should be used to that. This is REALLY going to be a challenge!!!

Hate that you are missing your walk in the cooler conditions but your heating/air is important too. As for the timing of the challenge - I had the same thing happen in one that I was prepping for. Some one suggested it had something to do with time zones as FS is global. I'd wish you good luck but doubt that you'll need it. BTW - did you notice that we both weigh the same now? I never thought that would happen! But with all this walking you'll be doing you are going to be leaving me in the dust!!!

The time zone issue might be the explanation. And, I will need some luck with this one. Although they say one can count daily steps, I'm not planning on doing that....only dedicated exercise for me! So if I still keep my Sundays off, it will mean walking (or elliptical, or some Stairmaster) to the tune of at least 4 miles per day. I'm thinking I may need to break that up, maybe my usual in the AM and then that extra mile or so in the PM. Hopefully, we'll both be leaving this current weight in the dust pronto!
