Fasting a.m. BS = 149; weight 172.3. This is the last day on Beef & Butter. I will make it through today. The blood sugar is not going down as fast as I hoped, but it may be this sneezing, runny nose that is stressing me.

Hi Transgranny6. Your posts inspired me to control my diabetes with diet & lifestyle changes. I had given up on trying to loose weight and I was just trying to control my diabetes. Your comments made me realize both could be accomplished. Thank you! I discovered “real Keto” in Nov./2018. I was 228 lbs. with FBS of around 200. This morning I weighed in at 212 with a FBS of 128 (Iwas even lower but Christmas stress & getting sick raised me up a little). Don’t get discouraged. Tweak if you must, but you are on the right path! But tell me, what is beef & butter? Keep on trudging forward!

Nanofgoat, you are doing fabulous! That encourages me, too! On Beef and Butter, you try to limit your eating to that for four days. Google it, and you will find the site. There are other meat options for those who don't want beef. Also some carbs are allowed, like avocado, and greens, eggs, etc. If I'm strict with it, and stick to just meat and butter, and Keto coffee, I can lose 3-4 lbs in the 4 days, which encourages me to keep on working at it. Some people lose more in the 4 days. I follow it for four days, take a day or two off, and then try it again. It especially helps me if I've been off track for a couple of weeks and have to beat back the sugar cravings. It also brings the FBS down quickly. If my internet doesn't quit me, as it has been doing lately, I will find the site and post it for you.
