Lunch at work---I think I did really good today. It was the last BBQ of the year at work, everyone signs up to bring a certain dish; mine was deviled eggs. I cooked them up yesterday and put them in the fridge, then when I got home from work last night, made up 16 of them (or 32 halves). Only had 1 half after I got done making them, (had to make sure they had the right amount of seasoning!!)

When I got there today, oh my gosh!! I don't go to them very often, because I work nights, but I wanted to go to this one, and I was amazed at the amount and variety of food!! Usually it's all or almost all gone by the time I get there, and everyone takes home their leftovers, so I don't normally get much of these goodies. But, they had two tables set up and there was so much!!!

My boss made lasagna (I had a small square), there was broccoli salad, (1 spoonful), green salad with dressing (my fave, so of course I had that), chili (had 1 large spoonful), dip, cupcakes, brownies, french bread, some kind of meat (deer?) in a nice soup, potato chips and dip, soft drinks; the tables were just overflowing!! But I was a good girl, teased the other gals about all the delicious choices, but kept away from all the sugary, salty stuff and stuck with the salads and nutritious foods.

I came away not feeling overly stuffed (yay!!)and even left some on my plate (yay x 2), which is not something I grew up doing. As a reward for that, I treated myself to one small brownie square for dessert. Honestly, it was such a great feeling to not feel like I couldn't move after eating. Oh, and I had half a glass of regular Pepsi, which I normally wouldn't drink, I'm a Diet Pepsi gal when I do drink it. So, that kicked in calories I wouldn't have ordinarily had.

Since I woke up late, I did not have breakfast, which meant that I was okay with the brownie, at least I didn't feel like I had to take away from anything else to enjoy it.

This is a big accomplishment for me, I'm very proud of myself.
