I'm trying to understand why my fasting glucose is still over 95 some days. ALL my meals and snacks have been lower than 110. only got 110 once for dinner in the last 5 days. my fasting glucoses have been 109/89/99/98/90 for the week. how can I fix this? is this dawn phenomenon or just cuz I'm pregnant and hormones are not regulated?

My blood sugar level would rise when when I was water fasting for several days. I learned that my body will create glucose from fat. We tend to think of 'dietary' (the food we eat) as being the only thing involved, but, it is just one input.

Mine used to be in the 70's with metformin; I've been off that a week and am hovering around 100. I thought that was acceptable?

I have a doc appt. On Monday so we'll go over my numbers then. I was told due to having gestational diabetes my fasting number has to be under 95. I dont take medication to control it as we're only trying diet and exercise. I'm hoping I can get some clarity or guidance on how to get that fasting number under control so I can remain in their care (they only accept low risk pregnancies).
