AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! Why is it that when my home life is coming together then my work life starts to fall apart. When my work life was good my home life was in the toilette. Why can't everything just go good. Not that my work life sucks (I do love my job). Its just some of the changes are really starting to bother me. To have the people I work with find out information that can help my job and not share it is crap. I hate the secrecy in this place and that people can't share and work together to be productive. I think I will eat a cheeseburger to console myself. Then back to the normal food routine. I've been craving a big juicy cheeseburger lately and I just can't seem to shake it. I was also craving ice cream but I took care of that last night with a cone from McDonald's. I just can't give into the fact that half of my caloric intake could be gone due to a fricken cheeseburger. Frustration is availing itself to me. I just need to stand strong and say F**K OFF to it. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Man, food aint the answer! Do something else to work out the annoyance but food is NOT the way to handle the situation. I can understand if it was just a craving then by all means do it up and take care of it but when you start using food as a crutch thats when it gets into a dangerous zone! Anything else you can do to alleviate your frustration DJ?

Craving the cheeseburger and what is going on at work is actually two separate things. The work thing just occurred today. The craving has been there for about a week and I can't seem to shake it. I'm not trying to use food as a crutch and I'm sorry that I gave that impression. I just can't shake this craving and I think that I'm gonna have to do something about it. I just can't see eating that much calories in one sitting on one item.

Don't do it bro...you already know it won't be as good as you think & you'll feel like shyt afterwards. Get busy & do something to get your mind off it!!

I think that my cravings and such are just a cry to let off some steam. Things are going great at home and now work is getting to me. I haven't worked out in two weeks because of my back and now I'm afraid to restart because I don't want to do more damage. Don't know why one area of my life has to get better and other areas are just starting to frustrate me.

Can you make your own burger?? Use Ground turkey or chicken instead of beef?! or maybe even 93 percent lean hamburger (Target has it 1.99 a lb).. 5 ounces in 225 calories. Add a wheat bun instead of white!! it will take care of the craving but at tons less calories!! Maybe it'll work?!!!

Thanks for the suggestion Amy, I'll have to try that. The frozen turkey burgers are not cutting it all the time.

You know, this may sound silly but try to make making the burger the way Amy suggested an event. For example, cut up fresh veggies, season it just the way you'd like. Sometimes cooking (and the smell of food cooking) can be soothing and help with some of the cravings.

I agree with Sue. Cooking as an event or a ritual is proven to lessen the cravings of the food itself and helps relieve stress. Make every meal a workout and by the end of cooking it you will be satisfied and rewarded with not only the satisfaction of the meal but of the job well done.

If you have not had your burger yet.. get the extra lean beef it is 96/4 at my store and it is 150 calories for 4 oz! Cook it on the grill use fat free cheese 30 calories, and a normal bun 110 calories. Blamo a cheese burger for less than 300 calories.. heck have a salad for lunch and eat two cheese burgers for 580 calories.. but be warned they are better cooked on the grill than the stove. I too love the cheese burger.. This will scratch your itch for cow trust me. I LOVE BEEF. When I make mine I also grill veggies and have them as the side. Grilled zucchini is awesome or asparagus yummo. Turkey is not beef and never will be.. I Love a turkey burger.. but when I want a chee burger.. I gotta have a chee burger! It is also good with feta :)

DJ I know how that work crap can make you crazy. I lived with that for sooo long. Never did figure some of the crazies out, but tried to keep myself above it. Usually I could but sometimes made me want to jump off a cliff; but they wanted me to do that, so I stuck around just to aggravate them. You're a better person then they are; don't become like them.

I'm done letting work get to me. Why worry about something that you cannot change or do anything about. As far as the cravings I did satisfy the ice cream and I love the suggestions for the burger. That may be what I'll do here soon (YUMMMM BEEF!). I decided I don't need any chocolate bar. Thanks to my cool buddies that came to my aid in my time of need.
