FRY120's Logboek, 30 jul 10

Just trying to prepare mentally for a "girls night". Got invited by my brother's girlfriend to hang out with her lady crowd. I don't have many girl friends because I was away at college for so long and all my friends from college are out of town. So looking forward to meeting people, but also a little nervous because I don't know anyone.
But as I said before, trying to prepare mentally because I am also trying REALLY hard to stay within my calorie range! and that is hard to do with party foods and drinks. I ate well today. I am going to have a sensible dinner and keep calories and my goal (to stay within calorie range for 2 weeks) in mind tonight. So I am rehersing behavior that I will follow. When I usually do that, I get to the place and all my best laid plans fall apart. I also HATE having to explain "No I don't want that margarita because I am watching my calories" because then I seem like a prude/party pooper. But I also realize if being healthy is going to be a long-term goal for me then I need to learn to cope with situations like tonight. So here goes....
