FRY120's Logboek, 30 aug 10

Oh wow, did the last week fly by. I have been good and bad this past week. The bad is that we ate out more that I would have liked. I feel guilty and crappy when I eat mcdonalds for lunch then turn around and eat buffalo wild wings for dinner. I am doing this to both look good and be healthy. But sometimes life gets too busy and you have to eat on the run. The good, however, is that I lost (according to the scale) 2+ lbs this week and despite all the eating out I have have been tracking my calories and staying within my goal. I have only been outside my goal 1-2 days and only by 100-200cals. Yea for following the diet!! That is a huge win for me. The other good is that we wanted to go out tonight but stayed home instead. Figured better than eating fried food again. And the third good is that my hubby and I have been getting a lot of walking in. So even though I feel kinda guilty about the QUALITY of calories, the quantity has been right and the scale is showing it. And let me tell you this week (TOM) it has been soooooooooo hard to turn down food. We week to a motorcycle race and a festival and we didn't eat any food that they had there. We ate ahead or packed lunch. So I guess I have to be happy with small victories. You can't change your life and habits overnight.

Awesome job.. it is one day at a time..and a life time of habits will not change overnight, you are so right.
