Woke up yesterday to the sound of a barking seal. Opened my sons bedroom door to see him sitting up in his crib red faced and coughing up a lung.

I bundled him up and brought him into the clinic to find out he has Croupe. Joy. I got a prescription and was told not to give it to him unless he gets worse (his airway sounded relatively clear when he was breathing and didnt cough once at the clinic). He had a fever on and off all day yesterday and wouldnt leave my side.

Again he was up at 2 barking like crazy and was breathing all raspy... time for the meds. I emailed work to let them know I wouldnt be in - daddy working out of town and Aunty (his usual sitter is out of town as well). His grandma was going to watch him... but cant when hes sick (shes 90% blind and cant make out meds). So Aunty coming back to town today and will stay here to watch him.

Hoping I don't get too much trouble from work. This is my second monday off in three weeks... the last time was a funeral.
