so worked from home today. and got told I'll have to go in for at least 2 days this week. which is dumb. I got everything done today I needed. actually spent more time working at than I do at work. cause less distractions, and I have kids at home. boss has been good about staying home but general manager is thinking that this is mostly not an issue. he weaseled his way into saying we are critical through our sister division. To our face he says its serious but actions say other wise. his arguement is that how long do you social distance? he does know how long we are to allow work from home. I might be crazy but they said like 2 to 3 weeks. that's how long I expected. if its longer and we are getting work done who the @#$% cares?! your saving on utilities and cleaning. not to mention NOT SPREADING THE VIRUS. ppl with the risk factors for having significantly worse outcomes are still expected to come which while I may or not have a bad outcome my kids would.
When this is over I'm truly considering a new company. which is shameful cause for the most part it's been a good company but this is not acceptable.
