Woman Alive's Logboek, 27 jul 13

Another plateau!! :( I am very steady on diet and exercise but I lose a several pounds in a few days and then spend weeks on a plateau. It's making me crazy. Anyone have any tips or tricks that might help break this pattern? .... And I veered off course and had steak and shake for lunch (chicken fingers and fries). Should not have had the fries on top of the chicken fingers. Another :( Way too high on carbs. So it's a small serving of chicken breast and green beans for dinner for me. And LOTS of water to help wash out some of the extra sodium too. ... smh

Hi There, Your diet looks good, and you are motivated...stick to it. I have been on a plateau, and although it is discouraging, this means stick to it for me. My weight loss is very gradual, with slow loss thug, comes a loss that is sustained...but my goal is to be 120 - 125 by October. NOW I have to go out and run 5km everyday. HIGH Intensity. I want to start running more...it's been done before. I am doing all cardio at the gym, like stair master for 30 minutes and elliptical for 30 minutes and I do spinning classes (3 a week). Anyway I HATE PLATEAUS. ....ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Thank you for the words of encouragement. I am planning on hitting the weights more as a friend told me that helped her past her plateau when she was working on losing weight. It's worth a try! ... I am staying the course. I WILL lose this weight! I too lose very, very slowly. Hypothyroidism. Ugh. Wondering if that might play a roll in plateaus as well. Nevertheless, I am NOT giving up. I have 73 pounds to go until my goal. I started with over 100 to lose and it took me a while to find my inner strength to be consistent and determined. I have been doing good and feeling SO much better about my motivation since late May. ... Again, thank you for the encouraging words! All the best to you in reaching your goal weight at your goal time-frame!!
