marciamay's Logboek, 18 okt 10

Well, I finally weighed in after a month. I guess the good news is I haven't gained. I went to the Dr today and saw that I have gained 10+ lbs in a year. Time to get this weight off. This is the most I have ever weighed. No more excuses. I know I say this all the time but this time I am committing. I know I can do it. I was previously in the same position and I lost the weight through sheer dedication. Exercising has never been the challenge and I do eat healthy. My portions are way out of whack which has caused the weight gain. Also, eating too much processed food. Today begins the journey back. I am blessed at 52 to be in excellent health so says my doctor today. I need to respect that my body has been kind to me and has taken me this far. I need to treat it better!
Forgot to add that my going out with the girls and DH on the weekends and consuming too many cocktails added to this weight gain. I need to learn to go out and not drink!
