Primalkid's Logboek, 25 aug 13

Today was the first day of my new routine. Specifically, it was my "Legs & Core Hypertrophy" day. Although all weights were done submaximally because of the deload, today's routine was amazing. I ended up lowering the volume and it was the perfect amount. I left feeling so refreshed but still challenged. I can't really put into words how well it went. Just a few modifications that deal with timing and I am good to go. I was also really glad to see that I was out of the gym in an hour, since I was afraid today might be a long day. The exercises just flowed from one to another so I am pretty proud; this is one of my better works for a routine and will definitely be in the vault for future use.

As for diet, with school starting in a couple weeks it would be inconvenient to eat two meals during my classes. I worked out the macros for a 3 meal split and it looks pretty good. Sean will get back to me with his opinion, and Adel already chimed in saying it looked fine and was sensible given my context (morning training fasted, almost no fat in first two meals with all carbs and some protein instead to reap the insulin sensitivity benefits). I will do a test run tomorrow and see how it goes. Honestly I don't expect any problems and look forward to documenting how I feel, especially since the blood sugar swings may be more than I am used too. Guess we will test my metabolic flexibility ;)
