Ruhu's Logboek, 27 sep 13

Up early these days which is not a bad thing since I'm fortunate to be able to usually squeeze in a power nap when needed. Off to tabata spin & weight training this morning then up to work for the afternoon. SIL & I will be sorting through some much overdue paperwork neglected by her substance addicted DH (my DH's brother). She can't speak with him directly until he's through the detox process, but from speaking with his counselor, it sounds like he's in the worst of it now. Praying for them all!

I'm continuing to do well as I follow my IF gluten, lactose & sugar aware paleo/primal WOE, and feeling good. We only have a dinner tomorrow night (DH may go the the local high school football game tonight & is golfing with buddies tomo during the day with whom we're dining with their spouses tomo night), so I will be spending much of the weekend on BIL's business as there already are several overlooked, past due insurance, OSHA, compliance, payables & receivables issues to be dealt with & I can only imagine what else we'll find today. So, will begin my day in prayer --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And I'll continue to pray, breathe, journal, log & express on this one day and each one meal, moment, bite and through each emotion. I'm grateful today for each of you, my family & IRL friends, the beautiful weather we've been having here in the northeast, that BIL is getting the help he needs and that I have the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox

Indeed a great journal today, and it's great that you are aware of and grateful for the wonder life you have, even though it has it's challenges at times but keeps you from being bored :) The BIL issue - I'm so sorry for him, his demons must be great to have to hide behind some awful substance but then it becomes it's own demon, doesn't it. Good luck with his wife and the accounting issues. Hope you get it all sorted out.
