I find it very hard to make journal entries when I'm not updating about my morning weigh in.

I miss my scale. I miss it a lot.

I know I'm doing this for the greater good, but I feel like I'm losing steam. I just want to pig out on junk food. Constantly.

That and sleep. Sleep for days.

Screw Winter.

you should think of it as a reward, getting to see what the scale says after a week of keeping track of what you eat and your exercise. i bet the first week will be the hardest.. but if you can be so affected by a daily weigh in imagine how you'll feel at the end of the week! i really think you'll learn to love the anticipation after it proves progress. it's hard to stay motivated all of the time, definitely. but try to remember what you're working towards. <3

I can relate, I just started weighing weekly instead of daily, & the first week WAS the hardest. I do think that after weighing in yesterday & seeing that the world didn't come to an end & I still made progress even though I wasn't constantly monitoring my weight made me feel better about it. I know you're in the gym, but have you thought about setting some fitness goals to work on? That will keep you busy until you decide to weigh again. Maybe something like, right now I can do X miles on the elliptical, in 2 weeks I want to be able to do Y miles in the same amount of time. Then spend the next 2 weeks working up to it. Anyway, you'll do fine...we can both live without that stupid scale!!!

Wanda! Sooner or later your going to have to break loose that the scale is all of your success... It certainly is not! If you ever get that feeling of miss piggy come on here and talk about it its what this space is for and we do not judge you in any way that you are weak because we all have been there at one point including myself a few times.... Its a lot easier to eat and eat and be lazy sure I get into this a few times but think positive about your life and your success its what habits you do consistently and workout consistently. The world will not end even if you gain a few pounds! Focus on how your clothes fit, how you feel etc. I have broken my scale many times where I actually threw the scale down the stairs LOL I did this when I was losing five years ago! Now I weigh daily to see where I am at but the number has no control.
