Hello FS buddies!! Thanks for all the holiday msgs, they were very sweet = )
Fall semester has been finished for awhile now & I ended w/ my first 4.0 semester ever. Straight A's across all 5 classes. That being said, that's where I was. Doing LOTS of work for school. I didn't lose my way or anything. Kept up the walking around campus, tracked my food solely on the BMF site & for the most part ate at maintenance level through Nov & most of Dec. So weight-wise I'm still in the same place so no need to update it till there is a change.
One thing that I've been big on is that there is no self-berating going on here. I make cognizant choices. End of story. The Body Media Fit has been a huge asset in this change, esp in being able to know what maintenance level eating is for me (at this weight). B/c I was so busy, I said to myself, as long as I don't gain weight I'll be fine. I will not do any mindless eating, & I didn't, not even on the holidays when I didn't track.
Been gone longer than expected b/c I got some devastating new on Thanksgiving. I found out that my father is dead, then a few days later that he had died the day after my 26th birthday. The day after Thanksgiving by pure luck & coincidence, a cousin I didn't even know existed found me on Facebook. This lead to the materialization of a whole side of a family I barely had an inkling about. So to say that I've been in process mode is an understatement. Dealing w/ my father's death hasn't even begun b/c I just can't cross that line yet. I had just barely accepted finding out during the summer that one of my uncles (one of his younger brothers) died in '05. So many things happening all at once. So at this point it's just taking everyday as it comes w/ whatever it presents me.
Currently I'm sick, not sure what it is. Excruciating pain in my skull down my spine w/ fever & chills. It's been such a party since NYE, lol. Hopefully it'll go away soon. Going to the doctor is not in the cards, so no recommendations on such is needed ; ).
I need to get back to working out in a bad way. My knee has suffered greatly from all the sitting this past semester, so much that jogging seems like an impossible dream; again. But one step at a time. I've gone back & forth about tracking my food on this site b/c it's redundant if I'm tracking it on BMF's website. The only real advantage is that when I pre-plan out my days, on here I can see my macro-levels instantly & on BMF you can only see them on the day of, so it's a strong possibility that I will again. Need to get my protein level back up to at least 100g/day.
So that's everything in a nut shell. From some of the journals I've been reading over the past few days I'm glad to see some are doing so very well on their journeys. Hope everyone had a great holiday season & have a great outlook for the new year. = D
