Liv Lite's Logboek, 08 jan 21

Yum! I got a Veggie & Hummus take & bake pizza from Safeway (Sobey's) with Cauliflower crust. Added turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, green pepper & red onion. Ate half (325 g). No ingredients list nor nutrition label, so did my best to figure it out (1000 calories for half - does this seem right?). I haven't had any commercial pizza for about 2+ years, so today was a treat! Question is: is this considered junkfood???

Lol, yes probably close to accurate calorie count, and yes to junk food, but you can't deny yourself the occasional cheat. if you are running a calorie deficit approach than you have the same amount of calories total in a week when you add the days, so bank afew here and there and you can eat that calorie dense meal.

Well a standard slice of pizza from a commercial pizza place can range about 250-400 cals per slice (according to them), so I think a guesstimate of 1000 isn’t far off.

I mean Pizza is junk food if you get it from Nova or the Hut. Pizza Pizza isn’t even food at all! I think what you had is a proper meal!! Sounds amazing!!!

I think the cauliflower crust means it has less calories.

What you’ve done is taken something that you love and made a healthier choice. That’s not junk food. If it’s high in calories then not something you want to do often but we’re all in this for the long haul and healthier choices should always be the plan.
