I would be a bad Asian if I didn't like boba tea. I guess I'm kinda stereotypical, except that I can't stand karaoke. (¤﹏¤)
Anyways, going healthy with boba can be hard. So I decided I would make my own ingredients for making drinks at home. I can't have tapioca pearls because they are high in carbs sooooooo...I will be making Boba Jelly instead! I got the ingredients to make the classic brown sugar jelly to replicate the taste of boba pearls. Then once I get the ratio right, I can do green tea jelly, coffee jelly...etc etc. Yay! ヽ(^◇^*)/
You can see the pics below for the ingredients I bought on Amazon. I'll be using agar agar to set the jelly. It's low carb.
And...Yesterday was the first day of a week-long challenge to lose 4 lbs in a week. Off to a good start! (◕‿◕✿) I lost 1.8lbs due to a high exercise day with a fasted morning. I just am never really hungry in the morning. I've decided that I won't force myself to eat breakfast if I am not hungry anymore. I would prefer eating when legitimately hungry anyways.
Today's breakfast, because I actually felt like eating, was Fage yogurt with my homemade grain-free crunchy toasted granola. I made it with walnuts, pecans, almonds, almond flour, sugar-free maple, cinnamon, and coconut chips. Toasted in the oven. Super delicious! If you want the recipe, let me know. SO GOOD!!!!
Annnnd the desk...I'm a huge bullet journaling fan. So I'll share my before and after desk shots. Mess to clean!!! Also, Below is a sticker I did for my favorite boba place, as a gift. I wanted a sticker for the back of my laptop, so made one. The next one is a sticker for Banh Mi but cute looking like the bread is a bunny..ʕʘ‿ʘʔ...You can see the start of it, in the sketch.
I love kawaii stuff, washi tapes, art supplies, and more. I will be attending school in a month so my study desk has to be organized. Going to be a massage therapist. Learning pathology and anatomy is not my strong point so I will need to focus. So below are the pictures of my before and after desk. ≖‿≖ Please excuse the mess. My desk was where I stored things out of the way. Plus I just put 4 bags of DAISO stuff there. (⊙ω⊙✿) One of my fave stores!!!
And lastly, I ordered a bunch of herbal and decaf tea from Tea Source. I want my house full of tea rather than soda. Plus I plan on making some fun, lower-carb Bubble Tea drinks. YUM!
Hope everyone is doing well. This community is making it easier to stay focused on my health goals. I really appreciate a safe place to unload what is on my mind too! Being motivated to lose weight also motivates me in other areas of my life. It's never just about a scale. It's a lifestyle thing! <3
