Met with the Diabetic Nutritionist yesterday afternoon. She wanted my last three days food diary and my meter readings for the last 3 days. I printed out my food diary pages from FS and brought those along with a excel spreadsheet made from my meter readings and the FS diet calendar. She was very impressed with the information I brought in and wished all her patients were that organized. She was real happy with my Blood Sugar number and with the carbs and fats. I had her log into my page in FS so she could see how the site worked. She thought it was a great tool and would be letting other people know how it would help with their diabetes. To sum it up - with the help FatSecret this is the first time since I found out I had typeII diabetes that I enjoyed seeing the nutritionist because she did not spank me for not following the rules. LOL. I also learned a few things like to make sure you take in at least 50g of fat a day, it is required for the brain to function correctly.
