mgrill's Logboek, 12 mei 14

I took a stab at recording food and activities this weekend, but I've determined it to be a habit that I know I won't get into. Just too many odds and ends of activities to try to quantify while chasing/playing with the kiddos. From jump roping, bouldering, slacklining, and other backyard play, I know I just kept very active and that should counterbalance any increased foods I consume on the weekends...which is usually those few leftover bites on the kid's plates.

A wonderful Mother's Day weekend. My mom and dad visited on Saturday. We were able to visit and get some work completed on the house. Sunday was a buffet brunch with the in-laws. I've never been a fan of buffets...I never eat my moneys worth.

Today is gloomy again. Sort of putting me in a bummed out mood. I've been to the gym already today, but I didn't want to do my 20-minute running challenge (how far can I go it 20-minutes), so I did 20 minutes of speed intervals instead. Run felt good...gym was very quiet...now back to work.

I miss my kiddos already. I don't like Mondays.

You know what? At least you took a stab at it. I'm proud of you for that. Way too many just say "Hectic weekend, didn't bother to log food." It will become a habit if you keep it up and once you get into it, you will feel naked and weird when you don't do it. I've lost 69 pounds in 9 months and I attribute 80% of it to logging food so you know when things go right and you know when things go sideways. It's no longer a mystery that way. Hang in there!

We have a cheat day. That's Saturday. So that's one day of the weekend down for me. I only have to track Sunday then and it's the slower day of the weekend. So I completely understand you on the tracking and running around.

I have issues with logging as well, especially on the weekends. I tell myself to do better, and I really do try, but some days prove to be harder than others.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who struggles with logging on the weekends. It's not like I go crazy on the weekends...it's just that things happen so fast and frequent on the weekends. During the week, activities happen in larger blocks of time and are easier to log.

I know what you mean, weekends are just packed and trying to get on to record anything is usually the last thing on my mind. Sounds like you were plenty active though, so I wouldn't worry too much.
