Yesterday and today walked 3.3 miles, 2.6 w/dogs each day. Beautiful weather for walking. Did a time/speed check on my last .7 today and am still going over 3.3 mph.

The termite inspector is coming for the annual inspection about noon today. These inspectors go EVERYWHERE in the house and look into EVERYTHING. I know they have to do this, but I feel so invaded by the inspector, not the pest! I always feel like my house has to be perfect....and it's a far cry from that!!! Not a whole lot I can do in these few hours to make a difference there.

Then, we also have some people coming over for the first time tonight to see about taking a large car part to the buyer several states away. We're just not sure if it's going to fit in their truck. And, of course, I'm worried about how the house will look to them. We have so much STUFF all over; a by-product of moving so often and having dogs and spending so much of my time working this WOE and having DH spending all his free time on that car and having a whole storage area devoted to car parts, rather than household storage and....well, you get the idea. I'm just one person and I continue to feel buried under all the household tasks. I actually think this is part of the reason I didn't stay with previous diets...life got in the way.

Well, off to do what little I can do.

I can totally relate Sandy. I feel for you. It can be so overwhelming to have people over when you feel like your abode is more cluttered than you'd wish...you know, beyond 'lived in'. And I know what you mean with the frequent moves. Boxes do tend to pile up, <<<as I glance over the the corner of my office and see three moving boxes stacked like a small tower. We've been moved in...for 4.5 years!>>> And with a hobby like hubby's I am sure his stuff takes up a lot of space that could be used for storage. Good luck in working on the house today... and congrats to you for your faithful efforts on your WL and for ALL the help and hope you lend to us here on FS. I am so fortunate to have you in my life. Love you!!

I can relate as well sweetie. Being on a farm, we have tons of stuff everywhere. Art's not very good about keeping his tools and stuff in the garage where it belongs. We also have dogs, 10 to be exact. The create lots of dust, hairballs and dust bunnies everywhere. Constantly vaccuming and dusting. Sometimes I just give up on it. Just don't fret about it. If they don't like the way you keep house, then they need not come back. Have a great day my friend.:)HUGS:)

Sandy, I think I understand. When I get home on the weekends all I have is one day to clean. My husband does clean during the week but it never seems to get as clean as I would do it if I were home all week. Your situation is different from mine in that you have moved alot. We are really lacking for space since our kids have stored a bunch of stuff at our house. Well I'm all over the place with what I'm trying to say here but I hope you understand what I'm saying. I love ya my friend. Thanks for all the help you give your buddies here on Fatsecret. Love and Hugs{{{}}}

Thanks everyone. The termite guy is here now. They called when he was supposed to be here to say he was running about an hour late. Grrrr....but at least they called! No termites, but we're due for a treatment to keep up the bond/guarantee/warranty on the house so that's what he's working on now. He'll probably be here when the other people arrive, so it will be a bit like Grand Central Station before long. Termite guy discovered that excessive rain has washed out the soil and sand underneath the pavers by the pool deck so we'll have to get a contractor out to get that all re-done AND call the termite company back for re-treatment just prior to putting the pavers back. This seems like bad news, but the pavers weren't laid very well anyway, IMO, so I always felt we'd need to get them looked at/re-done at some point in the future anyway. The future just got a little closer, now.

@Cindy....You know, I always felt we were at a disadvantage having no kids on whom to unload our aging things!!! Never thought about the other side of things where they leave a bunch of their stuff at your place! Thanks for stopping by.

Sandy, I completely understand what you are talking about! I feel the same way....and mine is from living in the same place for 23 years! lol Glad that the termite inspection went so well, but bummer about the pavers! Have a great Friday!

Thanks Stef. Glad to know other people feel the same way. It always seems to me that everyone else has their act together and everything in their life is just so organized and well-handled; I feel like a complete incompetent by comparison.
