I forgot how much I love swimming! I am always entertained when someone jumps in the lane next to me and tries to race against me. One moment I'm racing against the clock, the next moment I see a dark shadow in my peripheral vision. No words are exchanged, rather it's one of those unwritten rules. No matter who it is, I tend to speed up as if I were in the race of my life, going for gold, or perhaps being chased by a shark. The lifeguard must be thoroughly amused... alas, it's just me!
