Yesterday was my daughter, Tabitha's birthday AND Memorial Day. She lives in an armpit of a city in the high desert, so my husband and I drove (and brought the cake!) almost 3 hours so she could have family with her. It was just starting to "warm up" there; the daytime temperature was 103 both days...not conducive to exercise. Her husband made TWO racks of baby back ribs, THREE enormous steaks, BBQ corn, and baked beans...and cake. I have spent today repenting the feasting...not from guilt, but from a very uncomfortable digestive system (to put it delicately). I was able to bring back my treadmill that she was using for a clothes rack and am jazzed about walking indoors when i don't feel like touring the neighborhood. I will weigh in for the first time tomorrow!
