Busy day ahead, dad is finally coming home from the nursing home today. Was supposed to be yesterday but due to the inclement weather they kept him an extra day. DH and I need to be there with mom today, she is a little nervous that dad will fall down and she wants to be sure he can maneuver the stairs OK. We are giving the TV we had brought to dad to use at the home to my uncle. Were going to donate it to the home but he hinted that he could use it so we will show up with it for him and set it up. I also want to stop in on my cousin and see how she is doing with the recovery of the loss of her and her DH's business this past weekend due to fire. So, with all that going on, it will be another late night. Not sure what we will do at lunch time, but just finished good breakfast and we will have leftovers for dinner when we get home. Lunch will probably be either a salad or some soup so not worried about that.
On the food front, I really didn't do so well with weight loss last month but I did achieve my goals with cholesterol and sodium limits. I am going to drop the calories down to 1300-1500/day and reduce the fat down to 30g (goal) while keeping the protein and complex carbs pretty high. Let's see what that does! Will reeval after 2 weeks.

Babs I am glad your dad is getting home today, hopefully all goes well! It is also vry nice of you guys to give your uncle the TV, I am sure he will really appreciate it. Sorry to hear about your cousin's business, I can't imagine how she feels.

With all that is going on around you and you are still so focused on your weight goals - well done!! This I think is the hardest lesson we are all learning here - to stop making excuses, life is going to happen anyway, whether we break our diet or not is our choice, not because of what life throws at us. Thanks all, the day is going well. Brought a Chicken of the Sea salmon package (so easy to dump on top of a salad and very journal friendly to add by food mfg look up), salad dressing (a staple in my purse lately) also brought a pouch of edamame and an apple. Food journal still looks good for today and will have left overs when we get there later on.
