ddEG's Logboek, 05 jul 14

So, I decided for the first time since I started this diet to give myself last night off. While I didn't go crazy, I sure didn't follow my plan. However, I did make a conscious choice not to follow it. This morning I thought it would be best to journal what I ate, no matter how difficult to see the number. I made the decision, so I should account for it and recognize that this was a choice that I walked into with my eyes open. So, I'm proud of myself for that. Also, I'm working on transitioning back into the real world and in the real world there will be these meals. I'm telling myself that I'm okay with this, but I'm still working on accepting it and not beating myself up. The acceptance may take some time, but I'll get there! Hope you all had a happy 4th!

Ddeg....for the first time in this diet I also made bad choices in my eating. I had two scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone. I am going to journal my poor choice today. However, to make up for my indiscretion I went for a 5.5 mile walk/run this morning. I plan to get back on track, but I really wanted to celebrate my freedom.....which includes freedom to eat what I want.

Hi Ray, sounds like we had a similar experiences. It's true that it is all about balance and I think we made the choice to enjoy ourselves. I'm also going on a hike today, I believe the trail we're going on is 8 miles, it should be a good one! Enjoy your day!
