Day 7 ODAATOV:)! The trip went smoothly and we're settled in, outside of Destin, FL in the panhandle. It's hot & humid as expected, but we have the beach at our beck & call, a pool, and beautiful air conditioned home that we're sharing. It's such fun to have all the cousins together -- 8 of them -- plus I love my 2 SILs and their DHs. They have taken me in as family, which having lost my own sister, means so much!
I slept well, just not long, especially since I didn't remember the time change here. So, when I woke up at 4:30 my time, it was really only 3:30 here. I forced myself to stay in bed until what I thought was 5:30, not remembering the time difference until I was up & dressed, so here I am bright & early. But it gives me time to journal, and start my day in peace & quiet mindfully, with intention & attention.
I'm feeling good & happy to have several days under my belt back happily on my healthy eating & living course. I do feel so much better when I take care of me and eat & live in the ways I know are best. Yes, there sugar in the house, and much, much more than I keep at home, but it's for one week and I can easily escape if and when it becomes too tempting. Last night, just as they were pulling out ice cream and desserts, I excused myself to go to bed as it was way past my bedtime -- I'm the early to bed, early got rise one!
So, with my tools In hand and many successes to build upon, I'll start my day in prayer (still can't get it to copy & paste from my iPad, so have to just pray it silently). And through this one day, and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion, I'll pray, breathe, journal & express my way. I'm so very grateful for each of incredible you, my family & IRL friends, this vacation and special time with my boys & DH and our extended family, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love.
