bri293's Logboek, 21 jul 14

For most of last week I had a really hard time sticking to diet and exercise, but towards the end of the week I got my act together and felt a little more motivated and back on track. I did a pretty good job this weekend keeping the momentum going. My food choices weren’t the best because I spent most of the weekend running around and not at home, but did a good job with calorie management and staying under goal for the most part. I definitely got in some good exercise as well, even though it was hard to track.

On Saturday I went to the local farm fair with my boyfriend, sister, and nephew, and spent about 4 hours walking and standing around at the different events. My nephew (he’s 6) absolutely loves animals so he had a blast looking at and petting all the farm animals and kept us moving by running back and forth between the various tents. On Sunday, the boyfriend and I rode our bikes to go out for breakfast, and then same group of us went to the beach so I spent a lot of time playing in the waves, throwing a football around, and building sand castles. Normally my favorite beach activity is laying in the sun, but my nephew would not allow that! :) Probably a good thing. Once we got home I relaxed on the couch for a bit and then somehow mustered up the motivation to go on a 20 minute run. It was a slower paced run than normal, but it was better than nothing and I felt good to have done it afterwards. After such a long, activity filled weekend I was exhausted. Waking up this morning was rough knowing that it’s another long work week ahead. Here’s hoping I keep the motivation going through the week!
