Your body is used to what you're doing. I'd have 2 weeks where virtually nothing will change. So I'd either increase my calorie intake a bit incase my body assumes it's starving or take a break then return. So definitely take a break. But a change is needed

Try cutting out all white starches during the week. No rice, potato, bread, pasta. The weekend you can eat them within your RDI. Your body will have no choice but to drop. Eat lots of salad and veg. You will feel full. Keep the fat low, eat lean protein like chicken breast. Boiled eggs. You can even make a big bowl of Brussels sprouts with shredded chicken breast. Or cauliflower and broccoli with chicken, tuna or egg. Lettuce, cucumber, tomato and a lean protein of your choice. Spices are really good and help speed up metabolism. After all that advice, maybe you just need to concentrate on your water in take. Water really helps with weight loss. I’ve seen many FatSecret members swear by water, even when they have over eaten a little, they up their water and still manage to drop weight.

Hi. Have you worked out your recommended daily calorie intake i.e. TDEE? Use the Mifflin St Jeor method, as it is most accurate. This will give you the amount of calories you need to consume daily to maintain your current weight. From there, deduct aprox. 500 calories, which will be your deficit calorie intake. You can expect to lose up to 0,5kg p/week. You can intermittent fast all you want, but it all boils down to the amount of calories you consume daily. Consume less than your maintenance = weight loss Consume more than your maintenance = weight gain Restricting what you eat will lead to binges. Bread/pasta/potatoes are not bad foods. You will only gain weight if you eat more than your maintenance calories. You also need to re-calculate your calorie intake once you lose weight, as your metabolic needs will differ. Let me know if I can help you :)

It’s not restricting if you will be having it in a few days time. Many people do carb cycling. One day low carb the next day high. To make it easier. Just stick to clean eating during the week. And weekend enjoy within reason. There is no one way to lose weight. Our bodies react differently to the next person. I wouldn’t recommend lowering your RDI, just exercise more and switch up what you’re eating and have a high calorie day during the week to get things going. You can research calorie cycling as well. There is also reverse dieting. “There is more than one way to skin a cat” 😉

Hi guys. I just joined two weeks ago. Quick question, I do not see my posts on feeds instead I see everyone else’s. Is that how this app works or is it me? Share button is always ‘on’. Thanks

Instead of decreasing your caloric intake, Increase your workout intensity in the gym. Put more stress on your muscles. Move more. Take walks. That’s what helped me when I plateaued.
