2nd entry.
Regarding the fire. I doubt it will make it here. The hwy is closed from just north of town for about 15 miles. The fire is then west of there about 10 miles. They're expecting winds tonight so that's how they're preparing for it since firefighters can't safely be on the ground in the dark - not to mention the terrain is rough. They're setting up in an attempt to direct the fire away from settled areas.
There may be some rain this afternoon. I hope it dumps. Not likely to be significant - at least you can't depend on it. Possibility of lightening too. :(
I'm praying for peace for myself through this and for the people who are more affected than I.
