Tonight I attended, as a guest, the Brain Injury Alliance gala. My girl is a traumatic brain injury survivor who fights every day to continue healing. Five years ago she was hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk. She is a senior at university now, and we are so incredibly proud of her drive to move, with such bravery and grace, through a life that is filled with constant pain and struggle. It was an honor for me to be included at this special event. I wore a dress borrowed from my oldest daughter. It seemed a bit scandalous, but what fun to be able to fit into her dress! Just a couple years ago I would never have dreamed it possible to share clothes with my girls. NSV!

Awwww! Thank you, guys! Shrewdness, boy legs are skinny so often even if hooked to way over 6 foot tall frames... You go! Katsolo! That means so much to me! What incredible support you have given me so often! Sk, thank you so much! 🐻 And p$m thanks! Diana, It wouldn't have been my first choice, but it was my only option for a long, formal dress if I didn't want to go shopping. I did not want to do that! I'm glad you think it was classy.❤️ My grandma, mother, father, well any family other than my husband and kids would have been beyond horrified! Hahha! Almost 50 and time to live a little!! 😁

Thank you, mermee, HCB and RN! I am really glad we could make this memory together. I had never worn a long, formal dress (unless you count at my wedding). I didn't even go to events in high school where I would have dressed up. This was the closest to a prom I'll ever get! 😁 My girls have had lots of beautiful dresses, and I've gotten them ready and watched them go out the door to dances and formal events so many times looking lovely. It was very fun to have a moment I got to share! 😁 ❤️
