Changing strategies for a while.

Eating more and taking rest days.

So far [about 2 weeks in], there seems to be no change in weight...still maintaining. My husband reminds me that with the workouts I do, my body will use the extra food I've been eating. And he's happy to see that I'm taking a couple of days off from the gym during the work week.

Today I start a new workout class at my gym. I haven't done a group exercise program in a while, but the personal trainer that is conducting it is an amazing woman (pro body builder). She was actually my first personal trainer back when I was in college [1996?] and she's still super on her game. I look forward to learning a bit from her again. The class is only 1 day a week for 4 weeks; I figured it'd be a good change up from my normal routine.

Odd though...20 minutes to go before the class starts and I find myself actually sort of nervous?!?!

I've been nervous before new fitness classes too. They can be intimidating! Soon, I'll be able to lead my own fitness classes. Now THAT'S something to be nervous about! Eating and resting more sounds like a great idea. I'm hoping to do a little more of that after my race this weekend.

Class went well. It was a nice circuit/weight training class of about 8 women on our lunch hour. I don't know why I get myself so worked up sometimes :-) Oh Sweeet2th - I was a group fitness trainer about 10 years ago (did it at our Y for 5 years!) and those first few classes were shaky, but it quickly became less intimidating...you'll be great! In time I achieved the endearing "drill instructor" status from my class :-)
