I am finding that 1200 calories are too much to eat to lose weight. I've put my family on a diet of one I came up with by myself. It's a bariatric, rotation, keto, and dietitian diet. Using all the things I've learned about dieting. I live with my husband and adult son. We are doing a liquid high protein diet for three days (I don't yet know how many times in a month I will do this). The Rotation Diet for women are 600 calories for 3 days, 900 calories for 4 days, 1200 calories for three weeks and 1500+ calories for the rest of the month and then start over the next month. The doctors and dietitian say it's not good to follow this diet because the body likes schedule. But that's the whole point in the rotation diet is to throw off the metabolism so the body doesn't have time to rest and get into a routine. I went on it many years ago and lost 15 lbs. in the first month and kept it off for two years. The bariatric diet and keto diet is high in protein. Which I lost approximately 60 lbs. on the bariatric diet in two years. After surgery I lost approximately down, Leveled out and stopped losing weight at 315-320 lbs. Since surgery I had trouble with being nauseated. Then starting just before we heard about the covid thing I was having trouble keeping things down and this went on for a year and a half. From then till around the first part of November maybe late October I stopped. I had lost down to 241 lbs. but after the holidays and until now (March 1, 2022) I've gained 21 lbs. The whole thing and rules in this diet is
[1.] It's not necessarily what you eat (which is important) but how much you eat at a time.
[2.] It should only take you only 30 minutes to eat a meal.
[3.] No grazing (no eating a bite every so often or snacking between planned meals).
[4.] Most important: Eat high protein, and vegetables that grow above the ground. There are exceptions: onions, garlic, spices, and seasonings, peanuts/peanut butter.
Note: I think (not sure) but vegetables that grow underground are high in potassium and starches (which turn into sugars in the body which if not used turns into fat). If some one could help me with this I would appreciate it.
