Another lovely morning, another opportunity to SHINE!!! I've been swimming my way through a sea of back-logged paperwork in my office lately ... perhaps I can make a bit more progress today. I won't have a lot of time. We have our weekly staff meeting at 11:30, then a home visit at 1:30, and another one at 3 pm which is a little bit of driving. To complicate matters we have some road construction going on around town and wouldn't you know it ... it is the direction I need to drive. Oh well ... I don't really mind driving.
I'm delighted to be wearing a size 12 denim skirt I own today. Size 12 ... I can hardly believe it. I continue to work on growing accustomed to being comfortable with a "smaller" me and learn the art of maintenance, even as I still am working towards my goal. I catch myself every now and again thinking to myself "I just wish I was done!" and then realizing, "oh yeah, I won't ever be done." Those of you here who have maintained for a while are my heroes, my role models, and hope for long term healthy living. For the first time EVER I believe I can and will and am doing this for the long haul, not just for some "event", "date", or "vacation." It is a good feeling.
And so I suppose I had better finish getting ready for work and get this party started!! LOL!!! Have a wonderful Tuesday ... stay conscious about choices, laugh when you can, and embrace yourselves ... we are the only "ME" we have!!!

yana ... we buy it online ... medifast.com I think. It is basically a cocoa mix, low-fat, high protein we mix with our coffee for breakfast most mornings!! It isn't cheap but we like it. Sort of like making your own healthy mocha at home every morning!!

Hey a Size 12...I'll take everyone's word that that is a good thing. Interestingly you could have said a size 32 and I wouldn't have known the difference. Well I do have some idea but with me it is just inches around my waist. The 38's are loose where I use to cram the 40's or even wear 42's. I like getting into the smaller stuff too...I just wish it would all come off my waist...which I know is absolutely impossible. It went on evenly, it is coming off the same way. I think the weight in the face makes the most difference.
Keep up the good work losing sizes....or inches.

Great positive journal, I really enjoyed reading it, about losing not just for events, vacations and such. Great job on the 12's. You are on a roll. :-)

Thanks everyone!! Jim, your comment made me laugh ... when I tell my husband what size I'm wearing he looks at me with that glazed over look in his eye and then asks ... so what does that mean?!! For me size 12 is a good thing ... when I started this journey I was squeezing into size 18 ... so that is a bit of progress. Now, let's not get too excited buddies ... I have ONE skirt I can wear in a 12 and 2 pair of pants ... that's it!!! LOL!! But I sure do enough appreciate all the fine yahoo-ing with me and celebrating ... my hairdresser actually called me "tiny" today. Now personally I'm pretty sure she was delirious!!! No one has ever called me "tiny" ever!!
