AH!!! She sighs audibly!! It is FRIDAY!!! I am so glad to be wrapping up this week and am very excited about our trip to Portland to celebrate hubby's birthday! I saw another all time "low" on Frank today so I had to record it, even though I know it will go up again. My buddy Info suggested that I have "arrived" at my goal and that the task at hand now is simply refining ... more or less. I like his thinking! Actually I am in the range of where I would like to maintain, even though I'd like to take it a little lower still. As I pondered the journeys of others here on fatsecret I realized that it isn't really one particular number I want to hold fast to but instead a defined range of weight. All of our "numbers" fluctuate ... and it suddenly occurred to me that will always be true for me as well. So, while I am not "officially" celebrating my arrival at a goal weight I am going to begin to celebrate arriving in a range I can live with for life! What a difference that shift in attitude has made for me already. Am I still looking forward to seeing 175 on Frank? Why of course!!! And eventually I will. It doesn't really matter when I see it ... what matters is that I continue to do what I have been doing. Loving and respecting myself. Accepting myself. Remaining conscious about what I do with nutrition and exercise. Making wise choices. Being aware of old "tapes" in my head, old habits that have always tripped me up, and accepting that this is about the journey not some destination that I will arrive and and finally be "done." Today feels GREAT!!! I feel GREAT!!! Yea me!!! And hip hip hooray for fatsecret and all my friends here that continue to cheer me on, confront me gently when my thinking is "stinking", and well .... LIFE! Have a wonderful, healthy, joyful, and grateful day!!
