why, in the diary, is 2 cups of cooked vegetables 229calories, shouldn't vegetables be nearly 0calories (give or take) why is it so high? is it something that needs to be fixed?

I'm talking, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, beans, peas ect. Starchy veg would be in its own category.

If you're buying your veg ready mixed the bag will have a suggested serving size and calories plus the other nutrition values. I am still weighing my vegetables (raw weight) before chopping and mixing them together...

Just done a google search and it's right. Over 200 calories. My mind is blown. When I used mfp, I was told to not even log vegetables as they were free. Now I have to reset my brain.

Vegetables still have calories but not all calories are created equal. Vegetables have fiber and vitamins and nutrients that help our bodies thrive. 200 calories from vegetables is a completely different thing to 200 calories from chocolate biscuits...(just as an example). Plain water has no calories. I wish you all the best with your health goals.
