Yesterday was just ugly. I just couldn't get happy about anything. But it's over. I love the past, because it's behind me.
Mom called today. That's the first time she's called in a while. She sounded good.
An apartment opened up in a memory care facility and my brother moved her Thursday.
She called to tell me that I really need to "come check this place out." Apparently she is quite pleased with her new digs.
I could have called her yesterday, probably should have, but instead I ate licorice and kayaked. At least I kayaked.
Today is better. Hearing her happy makes it better.
