When I lost my 100 pounds in 6 months a couple years back my exercise of choice was the elliptical. It was low impact and made me sweat like a pig. I gradually worked up to 45 minutes twice a day. I decided to purchase one for my home office. This is the one a bought from Amazon - the Schwinn 430: It's a lovely machine - and much bigger than I thought - very sturdy and professional-type quality. It sat like this for a few days: But I finally put it together. It has collected dust - UNTIL NOW! I am getting back on this baby today and every day for 15 minutes (to start) as well as doing some light weight lifting with dumbbells. I am excited to get started and to journal here to keep me motivated and on track! Woohoo!
