I had a deep need for a proper plate of food today. This morning started crazy deurmekaar with loadshedding changing from stage 5 to stage 6 overnight.

And apparently we have stage 9 incoming for winter 🫢 hoping it’s not the case because we’re already eating at weird times. Also having to get super creative very quickly 😂

I honestly don't believe all the rumors. According to "them" we should have been at total blackout last year and it never happened. Either way, it is so frustrating, because it makes planning for anything near impossible. This morning was chaos, because our generator wouldn't start up, my husband thought it's ok...he will let the office know he will be a bit late because he still needs to get ready, just to realise that somewhere during the night it changed to stage 6 and the power will only be on at 10. MEH! He cleaned up cowboy style , we had some very "flou" coffee and he left for work with both of us being grumpy. Thankfully our kids are grown-up and working...I would have gone bonkers if I had to get them ready for school. Needless to say, my entire being wanted melkkos or a chocolate or something...
