I need to eat fewer carbs and more protein. It may be more difficult on days like today when I am strictly eating vegetarian food for religious purposes. As these days are only on Wednesday and Saturday, I will strive to balance out my diet and consume more protein especially on the other days of the week.

Welcome! Might I suggest smaller goals to start out? It's easier to get through the journey if you have achievements along the way. Perhaps 5 or 10% of your current weight to start? Think about it.

Thanks! And I totally do have smaller goals. They just aren't posted on the site. I used to be 450 lbs or so. I had gotten so big I couldn't use the average scale. That was in 2013. I got down to around 290, but due to some personal stresses and then moving to a new country, I kind of fell off the wagon again and gained some weight again. So, I am using the site to get back down to the previous weight and hopefully finish out the next step of my journey. I hope to be down another 40 lbs at least by the end of the year. I think 20 lbs over the next 3 months is doable. If I can figure out how to post the mini-goals on here though it would be good because I could see it. Just need to look into it. I don't know how to do mini goals either! :) I just put my first goal weight as one thing, and when I reach it I intend to revise it and continue on to my ultimate goal. I'm sure there is a better way, but this one works for me. Good luck to you as well.
