ugh! I hate that groggy feeling! I get that after taking Dramamine! I can't imagine how I'd feel after going through that!  

Oh wow. That's a long sleep. I would definitely tell your doctor about that. Sorry to hear about the ulcers. Now that you know at least you can do what you need to do about it. Proud of you for coming so far with eating your veggies. It's a miracle! LOL . Hope you have a great day too. :) 

I usually react to anesthesia that way too, even though they follow the proper procedures - although I tell them I do go under easily, I think they can't change the amount too low because what if you wake up? A little extra sleep won't hurt you, but waking up in the middle will so I am sure they didn't do things to hurt you! We might be needing below the range but they can't go below what is technically a correct amount. I do sympathize! Hope you didn't miss anything important while you were sleeping! 

abba...i have this proceedure once a year and other proceedures 3 or 4 times a year...i have never had anyone put my under so much that i could not wake up...it scared not only me but my hubby also - i am going to report it to the doc and see what he says...maybe to the hospital board 

That is so scary, and to top it off you usually get a bill from the anesthiologist too. yuck, complain and don't pay! lol... thats bad huh? I am so happy to hear the veggies are attacking, from someone that loves them- I can see you pouting like my 6 year old... just eat up! You are making momma proud!! love ya, hope all goes well!  

Oh my! I am so sorry that you had to go through that! How awful! I have never been put out that badly but I tell you what-I lie about my weight by 10 pounds after having a similar incident! I know it is a bad bad thing to do but I want to be able to wake up too! Just a note for next time: taking Milk Thistle to help your liver get rid of the anesthesia helps a bunch. It is a wonderful natural cleanser for the liver and protects it as well. It will get that junk out of your system much faster. 

veggies, you could now be reacting to the anesthesia similarly to how I react to pain medicine...the more times you have it, the stronger your reaction or sensitivities. it could be a reaction or allergy, basically! Mine has developed to the point where my heart rate and blood pressure drop to a dangerous low. I hope I never need pain med!! i'm doomed!! :) hang in there...hope those ulcers heal! you must be in quite a bit of discomfort  

That's not right to advise someone not to pay for a service rendered. The anesthesiologist did their job, and deserve to be compensated. It IS a good thing to write letters to all concerned (gi doc, anesthesiologist, hospital, etc.) voicing your concerns. I would also INSIST on a pre-meeting with the nurse anethetist or anesthesiologist before any future planned procedure. 

im sorry, i didn't mean don't actually pay. i tried saying to top it off you still see the bill whether you are satisfied or not. so bad joke, unfortunately it sounds like this doc had a sense of humor too and didn't take her patient seriously.  

Good girl, eating your veggies! Sorry you were so knocked out. Definitely discuss with the doctor and have him make a permanant note to your chart! 

Gosh Veggies, that sucks. You must have felt so shocked and angry. Great job on joining the festivities at the pool party and getting so creative with your meals. I'm glad you're taking good care of yourself! 

cindy - i didn't take you seriously about the not paying...but i have withheld payment in the past until issues have been resolved... i am definately going to discuss this further and get something done to make sure that that particular person is repremanded for not listening and then laughing about it...
