Buenita, I find salads are so much easier to eat in Summer than Winter.

JustBananas, farmers markets are one the highlights of the Summer months. There are some limited indoor farmers markets in the Fall. Those typically are for just a few weeks and feature a variety of apples, pumpkins and squash.
