weight goes like a yo-yo day to day drives me crazy

Your weight is doing what it's supposed to, it is physically impossible to lose weight every day, that being said, if you graph it daily over a period of a few weeks and you eat properly, it will gradually go down. My normal pattern is: down four points up two points plateau 4 or 5 days, down 4 up 2, plateau etc. I'm going down more than I'm going up so overall I'm losing weight.
