Happy New Year FS friends. I’ve been MIA for a few months, caught up in work and life which can sometimes lead me astray.
Time to circle back to basics and what’s most important, that is ME. It doesn’t take much for wt to start creeping up and 5-7 lbs isn’t bad but does affect my blood sugar.
The winter solstice, holiday season ends one year and leads the welcome of the new year. One year closer to retirement and 3 yrs to go.
I got asked for ID yesterday at Giant Tiger, it was seniors day. Happily I asked the young man how old did I have to be? He said 60. My bubble burst, I said I won’t be 60 for another year to which he started to apologize. I thanked him for asking and shared how much I’m actually looking forward to the benefit of being a senior after working as a nurse for 3.5 decades (or there about). 3.00 off my total bill. Very much appreciated. Glad to be a senior/almost senior, depending on the defined age.
