Happy Aloha Friday!
So far I am liking the every other day workout routine giving my body a chance to rest. I know in the past I went everyday and my body was constantly sore. This way, I am sore for a little bit after the work out, then much better the next day.
In the pool at 5 am. Pool Workout: 45 minutes total in the pool. 15 minutes of walking, then 5 minutes of accelerated walking, 5 minutes of hula basics (kāholo and kaʻō) 10 minutes of stretching (alternating the foot against wall, stretching the calf muscle holding the stretch for at least 1 minute each) wide squat stretching the groin, then pull ups using he bars. Water shoes off and floated for a bit, then a casual walk for the cool down.
Knees a little sore when walking at work today.
It has been therapeutic in a way to document my food.
Last night I determined a short term goal for myself. I would like to be able to dance hula once again like I did 5 years ago by February 1. This goal can always be adjusted. I have an event in February for which I would like to try and dance.
