Magic Pills seem to be the cry of the masses, unfortunately there's no shortcut for the results of hard work!

You're welcome, Sugar Waffle. Hopefully, someone will benefit from it. Me too, Audrey! :) You're right, Phil, but I can't say anything. I think I tried just about every one made before I realized they all were a pot of crock.

I've got a prescription for 10 MEQ's of potassium daily and I also take 1000 mg of magnesium daily. It's important to keep your electrolytes up on a keto diet and make sure you get plenty of water.

Meli1028 I take a "Magnesium+Potassium+Taurine" Supplement Daily. Very inexpensive through Amazon by "Now" brand of supplements.

Meli... I would have my potassium levels checked before starting to supplement them. High body levels of potassium can be very dangerous. Who's to say that the recommended RDI is also recommended when on a ketogenic diet. I'm not saying it is or is not (just throwing it out there), but guidelines are based for the SAD (Standard American Diet). Bodies tend to function a lot different when keto adapted. Dr. Phinney even states that there is evidence that someone who is ketogenic may not even need antioxidants. I do, however, drink a bottle of smart water a day which contains potassium, magnesium, and calcium chloride. I also take a combined magnesium & calcium supplement at night along with a nice Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate) bath, as I am magnesium deficient (or have been in the past). It's very hard to over do magnesium without our body letting you know by giving you disaster pants. I also take in 1-2 grams of sea salt first thing in the morning, either in broth or plain salt water. Salt and/or magnesium deficiency may be your problem instead of potassium if you aren't taking supplements for them. I would try that first for up to 3 weeks before worrying about potassium. Meats and green leaf veggies are very high in potassium also. I'm not sure about FS, but MFP doesn't track the potassium in meats very well.

Bone broth is also an excellent source of minerals. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/12/16/bone-broth-benefits.aspx

Thank you, meli. Your welcome. My biggest piece of advice to anyone would be to take all of the time most people are putting in at the gym, and put it into research instead (at least until you get it all down pat). It will help you more in the long run not to be running around like a chicken with its head cut off. ;)

Meli, I should have said 1-2 grams OF SODIUM via sea salt.

Meli, It is also important to drink PLENTY of water to keep from becoming dehydrated on LC as it is a natural diuretic.
