icymaiden's Logboek, 29 aug 11

Back to the routine. Still haven't weighed in though...kind of afraid to do so. Did not stay on plan during the hurricane. But I'm back up on that horse today. Felt good to swim. Gonna need lots of home repairs now due to water damage. I'll have to face that scale soon, but I couldn't deal with more bad news right now. I may wait till Friday to weigh myself.

you've been through enough for now just give yourself the break from the scale and let the mental/emotional stress get relief or you might sabotage (sp) your self with a bad scale reading. Nothing wrong with getting your ducks back in a row:)

I think staying away from the scale is a good idea right now. You have enough to deal with as it is with out having to deal with a lie, if you have gone up you will be back down in no time! Take care of your house/property first and then deal with the scale later. Glad to see you didn't get blown away!

Icy glad to know you are safe, you can fix houses I know an expense, but your health is the most important.....no need to weigh.......I don't think we have the weight police yet!!!

Don't worry about going off plan over the weekend Icy...in the whole scheme of things that was the least to worry about! I, too, ate badly as we were without power as of 11:00 Saturday (had generator running Sunday morning). Had white bread, hot dog buns, cheetos, potato chips :O. However, this morning I weighed the same as the last time I weighed. It might show up tomorrow, but I'm not going to beat myself up, and you should't either! It was damn stressful! And now you have to deal with home repairs...I'm so sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself (mentally and physically) first, and worry about getting back/staying on plan later.

PMcmil, your food sounded like what I ate Sat. I also had white bread (all 3 meals Saturday) and I had hot dogs too! LOL. I didn't have chips in the house (thankfully) but I ate a indivdual bag of popcorn instead. I was up .50 a pound due to TOM, and haven't weighed in since then, then adding 3 days of non-atkins friendly foods, and well, I'm dreading stepping on the scale.

Icy, the worst part about the chips is that my husband decided to run to the store and asked if I wanted him to pick up chips (since I commented that he didn't have any for himself)...and I said YES!! Anyway, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised like I was!

Good for you...surviving the storm, and getting right back on the bandwagon afterwards. I'm with PM on this. Putting in the hard work in just dealing with the aftermath...and getting back on track with your eating...That scale just might surprise you!
