Anyone else at war with their fat, actually mad at it? I thought I had a system, eat 1200 calories and exercise...nope, lost 9 lbs and than nada so on to Atkins, vegetarian style. I'm lucky I work from home and there is no one here to buy things to tempt me...no excuses!

been doin atkins for 40 plus years. never heard of the vegetarian style. what do you eat since most veggies have carbs.

i am a little mad at my fat - but really, more at myself for letting myself get this way. i realized that at such a high body fat i am basically hair, skin, eyeballs, bones, organs, and fat :)...thus am now "at war" with a lot of me.
am hoping (knock wood) that this is the year to get back in shape! more muscle! whoo! also, as a former vegetarian (and still mostly veg with humane grass fed or pastured meats here and there) i am going to do the primal blueprint diet after i've used atkins "fat fast" to get into ketosis. i think it is a little more veg friendly than atkins, but still fairly low carb. maybe check it out?

I eat eggs, fish, shrimp instead of meat so just more limited.

I'm starting on a <800kcal per day diet with low carbs/low sugar intake. My weight loss WILL happen.
