WEIGH INS:

I am weighing in on Friday (weekly from New Years Day, which was a Friday!) - I was 227 lbs on New Years Day and hope to have lost a few lbs - I don't know what's realistic for week 1! For once I haven't checked at all! Best of luck to all on your weight loss journeys!

I don't think there is any one realistic weight loss for week 1. It differs for everyone. People who eat badly and than eat healthy might lose a lot of water weight so the the weight loss is huge. Some people eat healthy and cut down in portions and lose a pound or two. I know people who have gained the first week and went on to lose a lot of weight. I think any loss is great and even if there is no loss, you are on the way to a healthy new you.
